While visiting an old friend in Pennsylvania recently, we found ourselves taking a break from being tourists. As it was a rainy day we decided to spend the afternoon “playing” with paint. I, of course had no clothes with me that I was willing to get paint on so borrowed a T-shirt from Gretchen.
Gretchen has quite an assortment of colours in acrylic paints in recycled plastic bottles, which were perfect for pouring.
We used sponges, balloons, brushes, spatulas, etc. to see what kind of designs we could produce.
All was going well until I pressed too hard on my balloon and it burst, spewing little paint projectiles on the walls and ceiling. I liked the design it made on the T-shirt I’d borrowed.
I fact, I liked the splatter so much I confiscated the T-shirt!
All in all it was a great afternoon and never noticed the time passing. It’s fun to play now and again.

Nice story, thanks for sharing, Elaine. Always be ready for the unexpected seems to apply to your vacation at your friend’s. How wonderful. Looking forward to seeing more of your art, or lovely T-shirt.

ALWAYS good to take time to play. But glad it wasn’t me trying to get paint off the ceiling. 🙂
