Working in series for learning & . . . luck?

An article this week in The New York Times discussed an artist creating daily portraits of faces she found on the internet. She’d do one a day then offer it for sale, for $100, on her Facebook page.

The motivation and execution were intriguing to Sara Genn of Painter’s Keys also, who writes about Jean Smith in this article. A quick read for insights on the why, what and potential results of creatively working in series.

    • Thanks, Sue. These were part of an art class exercise to create three self portraits in complimentary colours. Challenging!
