“The Moon” Official Video by Katie Ditschun
“The Moon” is ethereal, spooky. I purposely chose to release the official video 29 December, during the last full moon of 2020.

It was filmed in November 2020 on the Glengarry Trails and at a friend’s place in Ste-Anne-de-Prescott with Noël Campbell (on cello, as The Moon) and Madeline Gerow (as The Girl). My goal was to capture the emptiness of a barren forest and the moody skies above the windswept marsh, to create a sense of eeriness. In editing process I was able to play with lighting and video speed to give the sense that something was “a little off.”
Watch the video… what does The Moon say to you?
The Moon knows all your secrets
No sense trying to hide
Can’t cover your footsteps
The moon knows where you’re going tonight
So I’ll talk to the moon
See what she says
I’ll just ask the moon
See what she knows
I’ll look to the moon
She’ll uncover the truth
The moon knows all your secrets
No sense trying to hide
Can’t cover your missteps
The moon can see it all in the night
“The Moon” is on Katie’s debut album, Spare Skirt (2019).
