I would love to share with the group oil paintings from my Ukrainian Collection. Some of these were painted over 35 years ago. Some were done in the last 10 years.

Ukrainian Girl. This oil painting was done as a wedding gift for a Ukrainian friend about 35 years ago.

The Factory Worker. A painting that I did about 30 years ago while I was still living in Lachine. This one still hangs in our home in South Lancaster.

The Lesson from Dido. Dido means grandfather in Ukrainian. This painting was done about 30 years ago while we were still living in Lachine and is with us still, here in South Lancaster.

Preparing for the Dance. This oil painting was commissioned by close Ukrainian friends.  The painting is of their daughter when she was in a Ukrainian dance troupe. It hangs in their home in Dorval, Quebec. It was painted about 9 years ago.

Ukrainian Mona Lisa.  Painted in 2017. This was just a fun painting experiment meant to be a conversation piece in our home. I also had some greetings cards printed to send to my Ukrainian friends!

Ukrainian Girl with the Gold Earrings.  Painted in 2017. I always loved the original painting done by the Dutch painter, Johannes Vermeer, done in the Chiaroscuro style of painting. So I wanted to paint it using my own Ukrainian version. This one also hangs in our home in South Lancaster.

Ukrainian Beauty. This oil painting was done during the time of Covid after we moved to South Lancaster. It currently hangs in our home. It portrays the beauty of the Ukrainian traditional costume.

  1. Oh, wow ! Those are wonderful paintings, Olga. I liked discovering Ukranian traditional costumes and their vivid colors. Congratulations on adapting them to famous faces too. Thanks for sharing your work.
