Showtime! Stained glass demo

Watch member Helene Cere in action. During the Baby Come Home event on 28 Nov, she’ll demonstrate how she creates her stained glass art at Priest’s Mill Art Centre, from 4 to 10 PM.

Nature, emotions and memories are the foundation of Helene’s inspiration when she creates a piece of art.  Gifted with a wide array of natural talents, she has explored and developed skills using several art mediums over the last two decades.  Intrinsically an autodidact, she has taken some formal art training at Dundas Valley School of Arts, Sheridan and Mohawk Colleges.

Glass art was her first love.  Trained by professional glass artists Paul Beattie and Janet Mercer, Helene quickly began to create her own pieces. Using copper foils, she makes stained glass pieces that are unique.

She has been commissioned by both private and business clients.  Helene’s love of art, colours and light brought her to explore more mediums.  Whether through glass, painting, photography or soapstone sculpture, each piece she makes reflects her passions.

Her art is available for sale at Priest’s Mill Art Centre and you can follow Helene on Instagram: creationheleneplus .
