I have been playing a lot with collage and I therefore have a lot of bitty bits of paper that I toss into a box because you never know when that bitty piece will be just the right bitty piece. I decided it was time to use some of them up and so embarked on what turned into (so far) four still lifes on 8 x 10″ panels. One of these I submitted to the Wake Up Call July challenge. These are the other three. They are collage and acrylic.
The vase in Reflecting is one piece with a few minor markings.

The objects in Crystal Bowl and Bits and Pieces are made up of many small pieces of collage. I just kept adding until I got the effects I wanted.

The inspiration for these pieces came from playing with acrylic and collage in an art journal. Never underestimate the power of play.

Love it! My favorite one is the Crystal Bowl as I love how you were able to give it that glass effect. Nicely done.

Thank you, Olga. I didn’t set out to produce the glass bowl but once I saw it emerging I was pleased I was able to bring it together.

I love all the foreground shapes and the backgrounds, so wonderfully layered. My favourite is the glass bowl. Amazing how you can do such things with paper!
