Collectif Creativity: 10Mar2024

by Milo Smith

I suppose it is OK to photograph a piece of art as long as it is not a straight copy.  These are elements of a larger piece of wire art of a saxophone player.

I have selected a torso shot, a profile shot and a head-and-shoulders close-up.  I have then inverted the normal shots (black and whites reverse as would colours of which none here).

The torso shot is photographed against a white background using a strong light to cast a shadow giving the illusion of two players and this is repeated in the shot’s inverse.

  1. The strong light with shadow images make them look like time lapse photos of the saxophone player moving. Most interesting!
