Collectif Creativity: 15Feb2024

by Lynne Ayers

I’ve been playing.

I covered four 15 x 10″ sheets of paper with doodles and marks using Posca pens.

I turned them over so I wouldn’t be influenced by any bits I was attached to and cut them into squares of approximately 5 x 5″.

I mixed all the 24 squares together and reassembled them randomly, with some thought.

I will be pasting these squares, in some order, to cover 20 x 20″ cradle boards as the first layer in a painting.  What happens after that is anyone’s guess though, to be sure, much of it will not be apparent in the end result, but they WILL influence what I do.

These are some of the individual 5″ squares that I liked on their own … nonetheless they will get incorporated into something larger.
