Collectif Creativity: 7Feb2024

by Lynne Ayers

Never say never. Some of you may recognise this image from a Collectif Creativity post October 10th.

This was a piece I have worked on for 10 (!) years. It has many layers of acrylic and molding paste and is highly textured. I’ve never liked any of its incarnations until I arrived at this one when it finally started to speak to me.

Then I left it again. Until today [29 Jan2024, but our sched is already set. Ed.].

Now I think I’m really liking it.  Is it done?  Who knows.

  1. I think you’re done! I love this version. Hoping to see it in person one day at an exhibit. Have a great day!

  2. How interesting it is to learn about another artist’s process and patience in the process. Thanks for reminding me that.

  3. Thank you, Susan. If it sticks with me, and I think it will, I’ll have to wire it two ways because there is a quarter turn orientation I also like, though I think this is the stronger one.
