Clay is my medium of choice, but every now and then I like to revert to my passion for painting. I see blank, boring spaces and feel the need to create colour. This I do for myself, I am not a very good painter, but I have a lot of fun. It’s a way to escape and take a break from all the technical aspects of working in clay.
This is an outhouse on my property, that needed a little repair and, I felt, it also needed to become part of the landscape.The ladybugs are wood fence toppers, cut in half , painted and glued in place.They were a lot of fun too. And we all need more ladybugs in our lives.

Oh my heavens, absolutely fantastic. I expected a painting of the outhouse not on the outhouse.

What a good idea. And the red lady bugs are so nice to see. I don’t think we have any left. I haven’t seen one for many years, just those horrible orange ones. Thanks.
