Covid Creativity: 9Oct2020

By Susanne Burke / Muri

I found these beautiful leaves one morning on my way to work and was inspired to paint them. I laid them on the pavement by the garage and took a picture.

I usually have a hard time letting go of summer. Having such a fast change in temperature this year made it even harder to get used to. Finding, then painting, these leaves has helped me settle into this fall season.

Summer Has Come & Gone! acrylic on canvas, 12 x 16 in.

Fall is such a magical time, the colours are so amazing and good for the soul!

  1. WOW! Really beautiful job! I too have hard time letting go of summer. Autumn is one of my favourite seasons, as far as colours go, but the fact that it portends the fact that winter is coming, spoils it bit.

  2. I’m a fall person too and have returned to watercolours and some leaf paintings. The colours and the veins in your leaves are beautiful.
