Collectif Creativity: 6Oct2024

by Susan Latreille

Again Thanks to Robin Patterson for her watercolour class at the Glengarry Pioneer Museum. What an inspiration!

I am absolutely loving this new hobby.

Lots to learn about this creative process and almost every day I’ve been practicing techniques as described in the book my daughter gave me.

This page of fruits is my first series of exercises. I consider myself quite bold in sharing these somewhat juvenile interpretations …. but there is progress (I think, hope).

Next, I worked on some flowers and, as I’m becoming more comfortable with the concepts of wet on dry and half-wet and wet, I think progress is a bit more evident.

Next is my version of a simple bouquet. I am quite pleased with this painting and used it as a thank-you card for all who supported me in Alexandria’s Terry Fox Run on Sept. 15th.

Now I am working on a landscape from one of my photos. With no theory book to guide me step-by-step, this might end up as a very interesting project. In the meantime, I am having fun!!

How are you learning, expanding, developing, growing? Share! It’s exciting to see others catch the creativity bug. Send jpg images & words to cagac.ca@gmail.com
