This is the first watercolour painting I ever did, back in 2002. A dear friend from Thunder Bay was visiting and said she had taken a couple of watercolour lessons and would I like to know how to do it. So we set up on the dining room table.
My husband called this one Broke Back Canoe or Moose Walk on Water but it was the start of a love affair for me with the medium.
When I moved to acrylics I realised that acrylics are really better suited to my temperament and the fact that I want to keep going back in and in and in and you can’t do that with watercolour.
