I love colourful flowers. I was going over my many, many images from 2021 and winnowed them down to seven fave images. Why these seven I cannot really say.
This is a Pasque flower from friend Helga’s garden.

This is a California Poppy also from Helga’s garden.

These are a pair of Northern Pitcher plants from Garry Fen.

Here is a flower from a Tulip tree on Centre Street.

This is the centre of a Chicory flower, probably in Island Park.

This is a backlit pink Hollyhock in friend Edwina’s garden.

Finally, an Autumn Crocus in the rain, also from Edwina’s garden.

Beautiful Especially the chicory. I’ve painted a few pitcher plants, but I’ve never seen one in the ‘flesh”, so to speak. Ruth
