By Jeanne Bougie-Desjardins
This is the view of a very special place on our lake that our family enjoyed for many years. I omitted the dock with two loved ones standing there: one who has left us, the other has moved away. The curious thing about this painting is that I’m not sad looking at it, but I feel the peace and tranquility I needed for closure.

Acrylic on canvas, 36 x 36″

[Editor’s note: we mentioned in our 18 November post that Jeanne placed first in Acrylic at the Focus Art Juried Show. Well this work won Peoples’ Choice Award at the same competition. Chapeau Jeanne!]

A beautiful painting of a beautiful place. I am not surprised it won Viewer’s Choice at the Focus Art Juried Show.
