I’m practicing my line drawing using a mouse on the Fresh paint app.
West Highland Terrier. I have been asked by a friend to paint a portrait of her recently deceased Westie, Scotia, on the wooden urn. I do not wish to mess it up so have been practicing before I commence. I figure if I can at least do a line drawing with an app–using a mouse–then the actual portrait may go a bit more smoothly.

[Some days later.] Here is the Westie portrait on the urn, finished, and approved by the person who commissioned it. I was worried about ruining the wooden surface of the urn so I ended up sanding it several times before I was able to get a “tooth”. I used a combination of acrylics and Posca markers. Now that it has been approved, I shall have to letter the dog’s name on it and then varnish it and it will be ready to go.

I’m impressed. Even the idea of a commission scares me. Well done.

Thank you, Lynne. I don’t like commissions much either, as I find doing them is quite stressful, but in this case it was for a good friend.
