By Susan Irving
I found a circular piece of galvanized steel in the barn and decided to paint a “Man in the Moon” for my barn wall. He looks a bit (?) demented. That is intentional, as anyone who has ever worked in a bar or a pub or with the police, knows how crazy things can get during a full moon!
Loony Mr Moon is about 15″ in diameter, acrylic on galvanized steel.

This is a closeup of him drying on a lawn chair, before going up on the wall.

Floating in barn heaven with a few other celestial bodies.

I like your blue moon. He may be demented, but at least he looks cheerful. He’ll smile if he kills you!

Thanks, Bob. The galvanized steel is an amazingly nice surface to paint on. I will leave it out on the barn all winter to see how it holds up.
