A couple of years ago, when Elon Musk began talking seriously about colonizing Mars, I started this painting. I didn’t really like it, and so it stood in a pile in my back room until recently when I had decided to paint over it. Except I didn’t – I really did kind of like it, or at least the idea behind it, so I finished it and will keep it, at least for now. My name is written along with all the other trash spilling from Earth onto the red planet… a little joke between me and myself.
