First Meet & Greet in a l-o-n-g time, 2 April 2022 11:00 – 12:00

We are all emerging.  Emerging from a two-year pandemic.  Emerging from our cocoons.  Taking tentative steps.  Rediscovering what the world is like.  Re-examining our priorities.  Re-establishing—sometimes repairing—relationships.  Reinventing ourselves.

There is no roadmap, no set of instructions or best practices.  Like poppy blossoms, we emerge from our pods in our own time, sometimes tentatively, sometimes with a blink-and-you-miss-it pop.  The time to emerge is right—when it feels right.

The world has changed.  We have changed.  What is the way forward?

As with many artists, the past two years have presented me with challenges as well as opportunities.  More time to write, to create.  Fewer venues to display photos, to connect with people.  Like me, my photos are emerging.  Is it safe to come out now?

Barbara is a member of the Glengarry Artists’ Collective and of Glen Robertson Artists.  Originally from Cambridge, Ontario, Barbara is now at home near Glen Robertson.

  1. I am very much looking forward to this meet and greet. It has been far too long since we had one. I am still masking, as are some others, but I am sure we will all recognize one another at some point!
