Covid Creativity: 25Feb2022

by Yvonne Callaway, then Milo Smith, then Yvonne Callaway

Inspiration comes from many sources: one simply has to be open to opportunities.

Because we’re spending soooo much time in our homes, there are ample occasions to rethink, tweak and rejig our living spaces.  Of late, I’ve created many reading areas in our home.

This is a section of the living room with two comfy chairs, a small table to hold coffee, and a larger table with a magnificent four-foot-tall Eureka fern.

The lamp sends a warm ambient glow through the foliage, creating interesting shadows on the wood panel ceiling. Having created a cozy corner, Milo made a series of cozy photos, this was the coziest.

I enjoyed the reading nook and the photo of same. So much so that I made a painting of it.

An image that keeps on giving!

  • Yvonne creates a vignette from furniture and plants
  • Milo captures the lighting effects in a photo
  • Yvonne crops the image, focusing on light and shadows.
