Covid Creativity, 28Jun2021

by David Burry

I haven’t felt inspired to paint for a while, though recently l did a landscape.

But l think lm going to stick to cars. It makes me happiest.

I love the mindless process of filling in all the black before starting on the lighter areas. And doing all the final light and shadow details.

I’ve tried loosening up and can’t do it so l’m going to bow to the muse and do what l like. Even if it means ending up with 300 car paintings that nobody wants!

  1. I love your car paintings! I have a thing about old cars too. It has been hard to sell anything over the past two years. Take heart, things will get better and there will be more places to show and sell.

  3. David, having seen these in person, I can say the photos don’t do the originals justice! I encourage everyone to make it out to the Pioneer Museum show and see these cars. The landscape won’t be there, but the cars – they are fabulous!!!
