by Olga Harhaj
I completed this work in January.
I have always been a great admirer of Vincent Van Gogh’s post impressionistic style of painting. Being more of a realistic painter myself it was a challenge for me to paint something out of my norm but I felt it had to be done.
I picked Van Gogh’s Cafe Terrace at Night as a practice piece because of the evening scene and the colours he used. I added my own interpretation of the painting as you will hopefully notice, to make it stand out as a conversation piece. I call my version “The Time Traveler”.

See Vincent’s original here.
Collectif members, send an image (or a few) of very recent work to cagac.ca@gmail.com with up to 100 words describing what you did, materials used, inspiration, etc. Maybe share how you’re feeling & how creativity helps. We’d like an informative, inspiring show & tell. Writers, send us poetry, lyrics, a short piece or excerpt.
What a challenge, but well met.
