I wanted to share something totally different that I created recently that you can decorate and then hang on your wall.
These three pieces are made out of moulded fibre packaging material that you find in boxes with electronics.

I decided to transform these into pieces of art. Most people who see these finished pieces for the first time think they are made of some type of stone or brick.

The mediums I used were spray paints and acrylic. You can then use varnish to preserve them. I even added a battery operated candle in one to show how they can be used for effect.

Collectif members, send an image (or a few) of very recent work to cagac.ca@gmail.com with up to 100 words describing what you did, materials used, inspiration, etc. Maybe share how you’re feeling & how creativity helps. We’d like an informative, inspiring show & tell. Writers, send us poetry, lyrics, a short piece or excerpt.
Very interesting. I agree, they look like some kind of stone or maybe faux stone. I never would have thought of trying to use the Styrofoam (or whatever) except for the purpose intended.

Yes, why not utilize something that would otherwise wind up in a landfill. Thank you for the decorative inspiration.

Wow – I have recycled so many similar inserts and never once did it occur to me to paint one! Bravo, Olga! I love the candle idea – something very medieval about it, without the fire hazzard.
