This year, a couple of friends got together (safely) and celebrated Chanukah (in our own way!) I was in charge of dessert and made a cake I found online called Chanukah Party Surprise Cake, by Miriam Szokovski.
Although I didn’t use her cake recipe (I have my own favourite), I made 4 layers of cake, hollowed 2 out as per her instructions, and filled it with Chanukah Gelt (chocolate gold coins). The result was marvelous, as you can see!
Our small celebration was a successful evening of good food, fun and laughter.
You can find the recipe here: https://www.chabad.org/recipes/recipe_cdo/aid/2792313/jewish/Chanukah-Party-Surprise-Cake.htm

Oh to be able to make a cake! Some of us can … and some of us can’t.
