Covid Creativity: 12Dec2020

by Jerry Boroff

A friend of mine took a number of photographs at the end of my property in Dalkeith. There are gigantic boulders strewn about. The area is picturesque and serves as a playground for my four cats.

In case anyone wonders how we managed to have the cats stay still for longer than one second, each cat was photographed separately and then their likenesses included in the watercolour painting on paper, which is framed and hanging on a wall devoted to pets.

The painting inspired me to write a poem and I have great satisfaction being able to memorialize these current pets, which are only related by all of them being rescues.
