This Artsy piece was written a year ago and, in Covid time, things are a little different. But much of the advice for dealing with burnout can apply to art and other aspects of our lives. Aside from being envious of “[w]hen art starts to put food on the table” there are interesting suggestions to help refresh and reboot.

What an exciting painting…colours are fleshy, living, inviting…the feet, grounded on the wooden plank of earthy green experience, confidently stepping into the fires of possibility. Much like the tarot card Aleph, the Fool, who readies himself to take a leap into the unknown. Amazing!…SandraSent from Samsung tablet

You are too kind, Sandra!
Images make blogs more appealing so I generally try to include one. Thing is, I mostly have my pictures in inventory so my work is used. A lot. But it is intended as background😈

Love your painting.
Transparency of feet on edge to me suggests fragility of the individual. It’s spirit is broken, and the body is ignored,
The colors are charged with emotion. Wish I would have thought of it!

Thank you, Jano. Remember, amateurs borrow and professionals steal: use it to inspire something in your style.
