At the end of March I read an article about the artist David Hockney who has been in isolation in Normandy where he is drawing the arrival of Spring. As he pointed out in the interview, “they can’t cancel Spring.”
I was inspired to draw the arrival of Spring at my home. I started on April 1 and since then I have been outdoors sketching in either a winter coat, shorts and tee, or full body bug net! Here are a few of the sketches, done in a 5.5 x 8.5 sketchbook in pencil or pen and watercolour.
