This is the last painting in my Red Series.  “New Horizons” (24” x 36”)

In this time of uncertainty, the main theme is obvious.  However, the figures are also a nod to single parents.  

Through the years I have had many friends–and a sister– who raised children on their own.  Some had no help from the other parent and some had lots of help, but regardless, each situation had its challenges.  

My father was a single parent for many years when we were small.  The two children in the painting are representative of any number of children, three in my father’s case.
