Six keen sketchers gathered in Mill Square, Alexandria  on Saturday, October 20 as part of SketchCrawl 2018, an annual international event encouraging urban sketching around the world. It was a blustery, cold day, so after about and hour or so we headed to The Quirky Carrot to warm up & continue sketching.

With such enthusiasm for sketching on location & sharing our work, we agreed to continue with this on a regular basis. The next sketching meetup will be Saturday, Nov. 3. We’ll meet at The Quirky Carrot at 9:30 am & then head outside.

Apples & Art: 2019 update

The organizers of Apples & Art invite CAGAC members to attend information sessions for A&A 2019 in Cornwall. This is some distance for Glengarry artists but A&A organizers want your input for next year’s adventure.  Come to one or both sessions.  November 6, 9:30 – 10:30  &   November 8    18:30 – 19:30, 125 Pitt Street, Cornwall in Community Room (upstairs.)

Your Arts Council (YAC) welcomes support for planning & execution of the 2019 event.  A&A has made a difference to Cornwall & SDG tourism dollars.  Following six years of support, ideas, implementation from the same team the event needs new energy & ideas for next steps.  Richard Salem (YAC) & I have maintained the useful data base to support next steps. Hope to see you there!
